Julie Chen Moonves hosted the famous summer reality series Big Brother which returned to CBS for the 22nd season on the 5th of August. Chen Moonves had been The Talk's first hosts. She was moderating and hosting The Talk from 2010 until 2018, when she was the host. Her real passion came when she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. Additionally, she was awarded one Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk program. From 2002 until the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Her previous roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. She was dispatched to Cairo following the 9/11 attacks and gave an intimate and fascinating interview with the father of the primary hijacker. Chen Moonves's interview subjects include journalists such as the former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian, William Cohen (former Defense Secretary) as well as celebrities such as Denzel Washington. Previous jobs included working as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) as well as a desk assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991), all while finishing her last year of college in The University of Southern California. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' idols. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and focused on the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
